It all started with two brother-in-laws, VictorTalani and Vincent Frugoli, who decided to open a Pizzeria. When it came time to name the business, they tossed a coin to see who's name they would use, and Vince won. In the 1960's, they sold the Pizzeria and bought a restaurant in West Sacramento. Vince's Restaurant became well-known for its authenic, great-tasting Italian food, and people came from other states just to eat there. Vince's was a family affair, and Vic's other brothers soon joined in ownership. Now, everyone was involved ... Pauline and Vince Frugoli, Victor Talani, Michael Talani and Louie Talani.

The business thrived. All the generations of the Talani and Frugoli famiglia worked there. In 1986, the family bought a second restaurant in Elk Grove which became Vince's Ristorante. Today, it continues to serve the same authentic, time-honored, family recipes as the West Sacramento restaurant.

The next generation of the Talani familia is stepping up to take the helm these days. Michael Jr. can be found in the kitchen creating his amazing Tiramisu, and he is also found greeting customers alongside his Uncle Lou.

The West Sacramento restaurant has been sold to another family, and now the Talanis focus all their attention on providing their customers excellent food with wonderful service at the Elk Grove site.
